Bunny Express Depot is becoming a new setting for photography in Second Life.
Located beside the Second Life Railroad, the Depot combines railroad scenery, attractive landscaping, and a large open-air dance deck. These environments make it possible to create everything from profile portraits and couples' pictures to photographs of parties, performances, and community events.
Shane Ryerly will begin experimenting with photography at the Depot, starting with portraits of alternative avatars and a small number of test customers. The initial service will focus on finished Second Life profile pictures.
Profile Pictures — L$500
The basic service includes:
- One avatar portrait session
- A head-and-shoulders or upper-body composition
- A choice of suitable backgrounds at Bunny Express Depot
- One edited profile picture
- One minor revision
Additional pictures, custom backgrounds, full-body portraits, couples' pictures, and special effects may be added by arrangement.
Event Photography
The Depot's open-air dance deck also provides an opportunity to practice event photography. Future services may include:
- Parties and celebrations
- Live music and dance events
- Weddings and ceremonies
- Store or gallery openings
- Group gatherings
- Railroad and community events
This is a small experimental project rather than a large commercial studio. The goal is to develop photography skills, explore different visual styles, and discover what kinds of portrait and event photography work best within Second Life.
